Bank Of Ireland Corporate Banking

Bow Bells House, 1 Bread St, London EC4M 9BE, UK – 020 7236 2000

Always been a fabulous bank even though I've had no branch for 3 years, being in England. They own the Post Office so it can offer most branch services, and the 365 online is fabulous, though adding payees or changing your phone number is a bit draconian.

Nationwide

62-63 Cheapside, Cheapside, London EC2V 6BP, UK – 0800 554 0239

Modern looking branch. I didn't need to wait long, the staff that attended me was friendly and got the job done.

Recently refurbished branch, so everything is modern, clean and new. Spacious too. Have only ever spoken to one member of staff, but she seemed friendly enough.

Local Chambers of Commerce for SW1A 2HB. These can be an extraordinarily effective way of getting into the business community and / or getting things done. Equally they can be entirely useless depending on the chair. If they have networking events associated with them definitely go, and keep going, if you have a business that need local support. What you put in is exactly what you get out. Below is the national site. Watch this slot - it might improve!
The Old Marylebone Town Hall

Westminster Council House, 97-113 Marylebone Rd, Marylebone, London NW1 5PT, UK – 020 7641 7500

Beautifully restored and now part of London Business School's campus

A stunning, beautifully old piece of English history! Well worth a visit! This was the former head office for Births, Deaths & Marriages in London.

Camden Town Hall

Judd St, London WC1H 9JE, UK – 020 7974 4444

Efficient, organised and friendly. The staff were cheerful and quickly got my certificate sorted. Security answered my questions politely and were helpful.

The staff are lovely here. You know they're busy but they're always courteous and help you out as much as they can. I had a number of questions that I asked both online and in person and was always happy with the responses I got. The only thing that could use some improving is their website - some things aren't too easy to sort online and I had to email them, but got a call back and when dealing with the same issue in person they got everything sorted for me right there and then.

Chelsea Old Town Hall

Chelsea Old Town Hall, King's Rd, Chelsea, London SW3 5EE, UK – 020 7361 2220

Chelsea Old Town Hall is an oasis of calm and quietness along the King's Road. The library is a welcome setting for retreating too. There is a great section in the library for children too.

Exceptional service, facilities and Registrars. Couldn't of asked for anything more for our special day. Lisa & Patricia made it what it was and are brilliant at what they do!

Dental Surgeries

Leather Lane Dental Practice

50 Leather Ln, London EC1N 7TP, UK – 020 7405 1012

I cannot describe how brilliant this place is. I have a morbid fear of dentists. The guys at Leather Lane Dental Practice have totally turned that around. Gareth is amazing. The biggest, most bonkers 'terror' in my life has now evaporated. If you are in any way anxious about the dentist, go here. it doesn't even smell like a dentist. It's amazing. I honestly cannot thank the team there enough!

I had to deal with my Wisdom tooth with emergency. The staff helped me out and managed to find a window for the tooth extraction on early next morning. Dentist and nurse have explained step by step what they were going to do, making me comfortable and calm. They are great and did a very good job. Thank you very much.

Knightsbridge Dental Care

183 Brompton Rd, Knightsbridge, London SW3 1PA, UK – 020 7581 1000

I have been visiting Dr. Mcgrath for a year now regarding an implant and other work. Of all the dentists i have visited, she has been the one who has made me feel the safest and most comfortable as a patient. Additionally, everyone at KDC is extremely welcoming and friendly. I would highly recommend them for any dental work.

Excellent customer service very friendly staff couldn’t do more to ensure your comfort and ease while having my work done especially Tracey on reception very professional and friendly

SW1 Dental Studio

41-43 Great Peter St, Westminster, London SW1P 3LT, UK – 020 7222 3002

Booking my first appointment at SW1 Dental Studio was easy and efficient. After a friendly reception the Registration process was straight forward and timely. Although a little delayed, when the time to see the Dentist came, my condition was examined thoroughly and there was no hurry to conclude the visit. All was explained in detail and both the Dentist and her assistant ensured I was fully satisfied before I left. A full 5 Star performance on all fronts.

Great for private dental treatment. I visit the hygienist here every few months and couldn't be more happy with the service. Easy to book and they always run to time. Great cleaning from expert staff.

Dentists

The gentle dentist

61 Shelton St, London WC2H 9HE, UK – 020 7395 0520

I first came to Gentle Dentist around 2015 as a terrified patient who needed many root canals and other work. The team were very caring and helped me get through the extensive treatment needed. As a person who has extreme discomfort when confined to the chair and having tools etc in my mouth, I cannot believe I got through the treatments that had to be done. It's all thanks to the brilliant team at GD. Today is April 2018 and I have just come back for a check up. Although still nervous, the team once again put me at ease. For any person with any kind of dentist phobia, I definitely recommend this place!

I have been a long standing patient of the Gentle Dentist. I initially went to see Toni on a recommendation from a colleague who waxed lyrical about Toni and her practice! And I never looked back! Since then I've had significant orthodontic work and have been wonderfully looked after by David. The welcoming committee aka Sally is a breath of fresh air. Not only warm, friendly and inviting but helpful & concientious. Everyone at TGD is brilliantly thorough, diligent, kind and caring. Someone will always see you - if you're in pain or something's happened to a retainer, fixed brace - you will always get an appointment! A great team of professionals. I'd not go anywhere else!

Dentist @ W2

3-4 Norfolk Pl, Paddington, London W2 1QN, UK – 020 3773 8664

I am a new patient to the practice and am extremely impressed. I would highly recommend this service. My dentist was very thorough and made me feel completely relaxed and confident. He explained the treatment plan in detail and completed the first part of the plan swiftly and professionally. I will be returning as a regular patient as I was made to feel welcome and the practice is very welcoming and friendly. Thanks guys xxx

Very professional. The doctor explains all procedures very kindly. He took me even without the previous booking as an emergency case. It made my life so much easier.

Zenith Dentistry

The Devonshire Dental Clinic, 1 Devonshire Pl, Marylebone, London W1G 6HH, UK – 020 7486 2723

Had a root canal treatment. The procedure was explained very well. A local anesthetic was given and I didn't feel anything at all. A special device was used that stopped the Gag reflex. The dentist and team were very polite. Overall an excellent experience and I would definitely recommend it.

Cannot believe how relaxing it is to go to Zenith. I went today for an appointment with the hygienist and was well pleased with the treatment by Joanna Jones - f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s. Joanna explained everything right from the start and the process as she went along. My next appointment is already booked so phone her today because I think soon her diary will fill up quickly. Joanna is at Zenith every Wednesday afternoon... Another success for Zenith - well done.

London Doctors Clinic Private GP

Very efficient, friendly and professional. Would highly recommend them.

London Doctors Clinic - Private GP

4.1, Alpha House, 100 Borough High St, London SE1 1LB, UK – 020 8712 9378

I visited London Bridge not long ago, as I was feeling extremely unwell in work. My GP had no same day appointments and suggested to call back the following morning, but I just could not leave it that long. I googled doctors local to me and this was the nearest to work. I saw the doctor within the 15 minute time slot, got my medication and felt much better by the end of the week. Amazing, convenient service, and great staff including the helpful receptionist who offered me water. Definitely a recommendation for friends/family within the busy City life. S. Jane

After 2 months of trying to get tests and good sense out of the NHS, and a lot of stress in the process, everything I needed was achieved in a single day by a lovely London Doctor. Such efficiency and such sound and caring advice was the most pleasant surprise to me. I wholeheartedly recommend them and will definitely use them again if I need to.

London Doctors Clinic

Room 101, 117 Waterloo Rd, Lambeth, London SE1 8UL, UK – 020 8712 9378

Very comfortable reception and office. Both times I've been here (once on a Saturday) the doctor actually listened, gave clear advice, and helped me with prescriptions and referrals, and to navigate how to get the further help I needed. They also stock certain basic prescriptions right there - eliminating the need for another stop at a pharmacy, which is helpful especially off-hours. Sometimes, it's worth it to invest a little for excellent service.

Location easy to get to. Good service. Sometimes you have to spend to get a better service

National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery

Queen Square, London WC1N 3BG, UK – 020 3456 7890

Whilst were sleeping, the NHS is still running and Teresa May is a mug. What was a very distressing matter, the out of hours staff ,Bussy, Nosizo and Rindai were the most helpful members of staff. It was a very personal issue and each individual from their own department ensured I got to the right place. The NHS needs more employees like those mentioned. Cannot fault them.

spent about 2 weeks here just before Xmas following a stroke. staff were amazing as were the doctors. amazing experience.

University College Hospital at Westmoreland Street

16-18 Westmoreland St, Marylebone, London W1G 8PH, UK – 020 3456 7898

My wife had surgery for her kidney stones at Westmorland hospital and I must say staff nurses ( Hannah & student nurse tayin on the 3rd floor ) and doctor Miss Allen & her team was super amazing. Also Susie & Siobhan ( senior nurses ) were great and been so helpful. I would highly recommend this hospital to everyone... so thank very much guys !!! Anil & Amandeep

Excellent medical support and treatment, outstanding hospital cafe food, best salad and best stew I've ever had and really tasty soup too. Only one glich, otherwise 5 star, I'm taking up with the fire service. 14 bin bag size bags of rubbish in the stairwell to the overnight stay bedrooms, on the first floor of 6 floors. Told that the entrance I came in was the only way out. A staff member showed me another way out, but said he wasn't meant to tell me. The manager said he shouldn't have told me!!(it's on the 6th floor! - with no fire exit notice, just a notice telling staff that they must not use this exit!). I look forward to this manager's letter, he promised within a week, after some pressure! He refused to deal with the situation, but anyone staying there, if the rubbish in the stairwell was on fire, the higher up you were, the less chance of survival, not being aware of the top exit. He said he'd speak to the fire officer who does the inspections, refused to give me the F.O's contact number or name, when I asked why, "Because he's a member of the Trust"!!!! Says he won't do anything straight away to resolve the concerns of rubbish in the stairwell (collected 4 x a day evidently), or the exits, until he's spoken to the Fire Officer. (or about confusing information about fire exits(s) or about the fire exit signage (where you follow the signage, on the floor you exit the stairwell, it doesn't show which way to turn in the corridor!). I know the manager was very busy doing year end figures, but really! REFUSING to tell or allow staff to tell where there are three possible exits, at least, rather than just the one where you came in, on the GROUND floor or sub basement!! Two other overnighters were rather relieved to know about the alternative ways out!

Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine

60 Great Ormond St, London WC1N 3HR, UK – 020 3456 7890

After drugs didn't help. I tried alternatives not having much faith but hands down its been so helpful. The doctor is so caring and my condition has healed.

Find Local Churches & Places of Worship

St Marylebone Church

17 Marylebone Rd, Marylebone, London NW1 5LT, UK – 020 7935 7315

A lovely place for peace and constipation. A stark contrast to the noise outside of one of the busiest roads in London.

I was married in this church 28years ago this year by the Rev. RICHARD MCLAREN. It was a beautiful church and our reception was downstairs in the Lemon Tree Restaurant. The entire service was beautiful, the Church was beautiful and Richard was a lovely man who joined us for the reception. It was a very memorable day.

Saint Etheldreda's Roman Catholic Church

14 Ely Pl, London EC1N 6RY, UK – 020 7405 1061

A little gem indeed: the architecture, the history, the windows (on a sunny day the choir windows are mesmerising! Look out for the angels quite unusual) And the service too is top quality either weekdays or Sunday.

The place is very quite and warm. It has a 1:00pm mass during the weekdays which is good for working faithful Catholics. The entrance is not that noticeable as it is facing parallel with the road, new to the place won’t find it easily but just looked to the left and you will find the small door which lead to narrow hallway. Very solemn place of worship.

Surplex UK Limited - FREE WEEE I.T. RECYCLING COMMERCIAL

Unit 15426, Box 6945 Rathbone Square, Rathbone Pl, Fitzrovia, London W1A 6US, UK – 01684 252583

I run the IT department for a large law firm (500+ desktops) and we use Surplex as the service is always fast and the drivers friendly and helpful. We like to charity donations this company make and also the data policy is first class. We have used them for about five years now and I don't think we will ever move away to someone else - there is no need. I don't normally write reviews but Surplex asked me too and, to be honest, I was only too happy to help as they've always bent over backwards to accommodate my requirements.

I have used Surplex for our IT / computer recycling from both their London office and their HQ in Malvern. They are professional, speedy and their reporting is first class. The online aspect of retrieving documentation is both fast and secure. We have a particular need for data security which is why we use Surplex, they do not wipe like some other companies we have used they actually shred hard disk drives and in fact any that carries data is treated in the same manner. Mark, the MD, is very knowledgeable and completely down to earth.

Give and get free stuff. Here you will find lots of items that people are willing to give away, for FREE! This is instead of taking them to a local landfill site. The aim of this site is to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill (20.9 million tonnes of it last year in the UK) and recycling is great news for the environment.
We all know that we need to recycle more - and this is a great way of doing it.

Galvin Restaurants

19 Newman St, Fitzrovia, London W1T 1PF, UK – 020 7299 0444

Really nice dinner and really nice explosion of flavors. And really nice selection of wines!!!!! Nice if you get the recomendation of the staff

I have been to many of the Galvin Restaurants. Each of them offer a unique experience and a lovely twist of French cooking. Galvin La Chapelle is absolutely stunning and the crab lasagna is one of my favourite of the Galvin brothers’ signature dishes. Galvin HOP offers a relaxed ambiance and their Tarte flambée is delicious. The Athenaeum offers lovely afternoon tea and their bar is very stunning, a great venue for a Friday or Saturday night cocktail. I have also had the chance to venture the Galvin Green Man in Chelmsford which is less than an hour from London. Since they’ve opened, they won many awards including a Bib Gourmand and that’s not surprising. With lovely surrounding countryside, you can enjoy their Galvin’s classics, some lovely seasonal dishes or if you are in the mood even some pub grub. Definitely worth the ride! I can’t recommend Galvin restaurants enough and wish them many more years of success.

Novikov Restaurants and Bar

50A Berkeley St, Mayfair, London W1J 8HA, UK – 020 7399 4330

Fabulous food in the Asian restaurant. If your name is not on the List you're not getting in so make sure you make a reservation a good few days in advance. Because it's so busy there is a tendency to book you into start and finish timeslots so if you turn up late you are likely to feel hurried. If you can avoid the busy hours you will have a more relaxed time. Everything on the menu was fabulous!

Food is amazing here. The restaurant is busy and has a great atmosphere. The service is epic and the fresh seafood and vegetables on display next to the working kitchen gives it a very authentic vibe. Note of caution: the waiters will move your glass to the edge of the table if you’re having sharing plates. That makes you almost certain to knock it over.

Restaurant Gordon Ramsay

68 Royal Hospital Rd, Chelsea, London SW3 4HP, UK – 020 7352 4441

Absolutely amazing French food adventure. The service was second to none. The waiter, waitress and manager explained the ingredients of every dishes and helped us to have the best experience. They were so friendly, professional and patient to customer. The atmosphere is awesome. The interior decoration is elegant. The price is reasonable. It took us three hours to complete the adventure. Totally worth every penny we paid. Highly recommend.服務非常好,建議點一個classic一個seasonal的菜單然後share,他們會解釋每一個菜的食材和吃法,很有趣。時間很長,很有價值的美食之旅。

My wife and I went to Restaurant Gordon Ramsay for our anniversary and it was a very enjoyable experience. It was our first visit to a 3-Michelin starred restaurant, we both decided to go for the menu Prestige and ordered wines based on recommendations. The food was exceptional and we savoured every dish. The highlight for us were the ravioli of lobster and I also loved the Cotswold lamb dish. The service was very good, waiters and waitress there were very attentive but not in your space. Our meals lasted 4 hours, it cost us quite a bit but I think it was worth the experience.

Archbishop Sumner Church of England Primary School

Jubilee House, 2 Reedworth St, Lambeth, London SE11 4PE, UK – 020 7735 2781

My eldest daughter has attended this school from reception and I have been impressed by the dedication of the both the staff and governors. Music and sports provision with specialist teachers for a small primary is particularly good along with support for a range of abilities both those needing more basic support and those who need to be stretched. Only quibble is clarity and timeliness of communication; the school has both a mobile app and regular SMS updates in addition to a weekly newsletter however not always consistent and allowing sufficient time for working parents to plan. In general a welcoming and supportive environment for children, parents and staff.

Great support for kids who need it and great after school activities. It is a little small for 2 form classes though.

Westminster Cathedral Roman Catholic Primary School

Bessborough Pl, Pimlico, London SW1V 3SE, UK – 020 7641 5915

My son and daughter Go to this school. my children absolutely love it and so do I, Every single one of these teachers are absolutely amazing, They are very Supportive and always have time to listen. They do a fantastic job..

Very good school teachers and staff put the interest of the students before any decision making.

The best academic and personal training to succeed in a complex world. As an academic and mother of two, I recommend ICS as the best option for international students.

Public & Preparatory Schools

Charterhouse Square School & Nursery

40 Charterhouse Square, London EC1M 6EA, UK – 020 7600 3805

Charterhouse Square School is founded by original headmistress Jamie Mason with school fees set at £425 per term! Over the course of the next two decades we go on to gain a reputation for all-round academic performance. In March the school becomes part of Cognita – a worldwide group of schools founded by Sir Chris Woodhead, former head of Ofsted. In December Caroline Lloyd takes over as headmistress fifteen years after first joining the school. When space becomes available in an adjacent building, the school expands to occupy a total of seven floors in our much-coveted Barbican location. This allows the school to add a dedicated Early Years area, a school library and an art room. n further work to improve the school site, the entire basement and ground floor of number 40 is completely remodelled. The addition of bi-folding glass doors to link our Green Room to its outdoor sand and water area is a particular hit with the children. Charterhouse Square School celebrates its 30-year anniversary with a surprise party for the children and a ball for parents, teachers and friends of the school. The school is also featured in The Good Schools Guide for the first time.

City of London School for Girls

City of London School for Girls, St Giles Terrace, Barbican, London EC2Y 8BB, UK – 020 7847 5500

City of London School for Girls (CLSG) is a independent school located in the City of London. It is the partner school of the all-boys City of London School and the City of London Freemen's School All three schools receive funding from the City's Cash.[1] History The school was founded using a bequest by William Ward, a merchant of Brixton, in 1894.[2] It was his conviction that girls should be given a broad and liberal education with an emphasis on scholarship; he left a third of his fortune to the City of London to fund the foundation of a girls' school, a £20,000 legacy for the City of London Corporation. The school now receives financial support from the City Livery Companies as well as banks and other City firms. Links with the City of London remain strong – the City administers the school and the Board of Governors is appointed by the Court of Common Council. The school has strong links with its brother school – the City of London School is just a 15-minute walk away. The school celebrated its 110th Anniversary in 2004–2005, under the title of 'Women in Leadership'. It celebrated its 111th Anniversary in 2005–2006, under the same title. It celebrated its 112th Anniversary in 2006–2007 under the title of 'International Women in Leadership'.

My daughter currently attends but has been very unwell with a long term condition. The way the staff have consistently "gone the extra mile" for her and us shows a level of care that is exceptional. As a parent that is the most important thing and I would happily recommend the school to anyone considering sending their daughter there.
