My daughter wanted to celebrate her 5th birthday by riding a pony. Upon arrival, we were met by warm and friendly staff. Hats and boots are free of charge. It was my daughter’s first lesson and I’m completely inexperienced with horses so we placed a lot of trust in the stables/staff. Trish was the allocated instructor and she’s absolutely brilliant with kids. My daughter returned from her lesson bursting with excitement and on the way home through Hyde Park she pointed out the riding route. They made a young girl very very happy!
I had a ride at Hyde Park Stables the staff were very friendly and welcoming, the horses are clearly very much loved and cared for. As a horse rider I understand the full necessity of having to be kept on a lead rope, it was very busy in the park and they are taking reasonable precautions, i feel that those who know about horses would understand the risk and be happy to enjoy the sights and a leisurely ride even if you are on a lead rope. Thank you to Ivan and Millie for a wonderful day!

It was such a great discovery when we found this farm in the outskirts of central London! It's tiny, but there is a good variety of friendly animals who look well looked after and quite eager to greet visitors. If feeding them, make sure you only use seeds provided by the farm. It must be so good for children of the local area to have a farm at walking distance - otherwise they may never have got the chance to see a farm animal in real life! Definitely worth a visit.
Lovely little farm. Not big but it's free and the little ones will love it. Most animals can be petted and fed. Little food pellets can be bought in handfuls from a little dispenser on site. The dispenser takes twenty pence pieces. It's twenty pence for a few kid sized handfuls so be sure to come with a good few 20p pieces,as the little ones and bigger children will enjoy feeding the animals. All proceeds go toward upkeep of farm.
