Local Chambers of Commerce for SW1A 2HB. These can be an extraordinarily effective way of getting into the business community and / or getting things done. Equally they can be entirely useless depending on the chair. If they have networking events associated with them definitely go, and keep going, if you have a business that need local support. What you put in is exactly what you get out. Below is the national site. Watch this slot - it might improve!

Dental Surgeries

Dentistry@53 Wimpole Street

53 Wimpole St, Marylebone, London W1G 8YH, UK – 020 7935 6809

I am not usually one to write a review regarding my dentist experience (usually I reserve this kind of feedback for hotels/holidays etc), but I am a very nervous patient, like many I suspect and after 25 years of being worried, concerned even embarrassed about showing a person my teeth, I finally decided to visit this practice (from a recommendation) and was very surprised. The dentists are great and very in tune with a patients concerns and quick to work out and put you at ease on any hang ups you have. I felt very relaxed and was given lots of options around what treatments I should think about and how these should be scheduled. Come to think about it the staff are all very professional but to me the most important thing is they are approachable/likeable. They treat you like you have been going there for years which is a great attribute. If your looking for a new dentist or looking to visit a dentist after a very long time I can thoroughly recommend this professional, friendly practice!

I was dreading my first visit to the Wimpole Street having had so many bad experiences in the past but I was blown away by the combination of kindness, explanation and professionalism. I was placed completely at ease (which is unusual for me). Delighted with the results (and the fact that the treatment was far more reasonable than I had expected), I can highly recommend that you give these guys a call. I can now smile with confidence!

Harley Street Dentist

66 Harley St, Marylebone, London W1G 7HD, UK – 020 7636 3727

Very good dentist. I would recommend to everyone. Dr Maurer is amazing professional with amazing skills. Keep the good work.

This is a BEAUTIFUL dental surgery in Harley Street. The dentist truly is amazing!!! He is gentle and takes his time when explaining things to you, he doesn't watch the clock and will not let you leave until you have the biggest smile on your face. I asked for a few business cards because this place really is a hidden gem. The staff are so lovely and you will feel as if you have known these guys for years! I have gone from hiding my smile to showing it off at every opportunity.

Knightsbridge Doctors

15 Basil Mansions, Basil St, Knightsbridge, London SW3 1AP, UK – 020 7589 8965

Apart from an initial misunderstanding about which practice to go to (I didn't realize there were two in London) I found all the staff very helpful and kind. I was treated with dignity and respect throughout the whole procedure and at every point a staff member took the time to explain the process to me. Thank you

Absolutely fantastic. Every person I saw/spoke to was friendly, courteous and professional. Efficient throughout my whole experience. From checking in, to the physical, the xrays and vaccinations. Pleasant atmosphere and waiting area, including water jugs and cups, which I thought was a nice touch.

Knightsbridge Doctors

Bentinck Mansions, 12-16 Bentinck St, Marylebone, London W1U 2ER, UK – 020 7486 7822

I had mine and my wife's US medical yesterday and all I can say is that all staff and doctor dealing with us were very friendly and professional. It felt quite relaxing while waiting on comfortable sofa in the waiting room with access to water jugs and cups. Efficient service throughout the whole experience. In and out in about 2 hours including physical, the x-rays and vaccinations for 2 people.Only if it was cheaper, because £300 + cost of vaccinations per person is way more than our GP would charge, but as doing it for a chance to move to USA, we looked at it as an investment into our future.

Excellent staff, very patient and understanding. I was treated with dignity and respect throughout the whole examination

NHS Direct is now NHS 24. Just dial 111 to speak to a professional or click the link below for there self help website. Lots of really useful info but keep clear of heart surgery! If in doubt ask your GP or call 111. Good luck.

St. Thomas' Hospital

Westminster Bridge Rd, Lambeth, London SE1 7EH, UK – 020 7188 7188

We had our first child here and had an initially poor then brilliant experience. First the bad: be warned that the car park can get pretty busy so if you're driving, best to drop your partner of before going to park. Also, until it is agreed that your partner is genuinely close to giving birth, they're is a complete lack of adequate care and attention. Despite coming in clearly in stress and last stages of labor, my girlfriend was sent to sit in a waiting room outside the ward for 20 mins before someone came to check on her. But once she was properly admitted the care was great, friendly professional, attentive. Midwife and birthing pool were the perfect solution for us and the after care was kind and thoughtful

Fantastic Modern Hospital in the heart of London. This Hospital must have the best views in the whole of the UK. I was sitting in a waiting room overlooking the River Thames opposite the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, it was a wonderful sunny crisp winters morning watching the boats go by. The facilities and staff are amazing, they were so kind and thoughtful, they just couldn't do enough for me, even though they are underpaid and over worked. I will be choosing this hospital every time, Thank you St Thomas'.

A lovely building, and very active Church of England congregation !

St Giles-in-the-Fields

60 St Giles High St, London WC2H 8LG, UK – 020 7240 2532

Visited at around the evening, and is possibly missed any visiting events. The church is great and there's a little park and garden at the back. It's nice and quiet, comparing to the feeling of tired walking around the noise busy streets around the area. Maybe I should research for some fact about the church before writing this guide. I did have a good time spending few minutes sitting there.

There is famous century old High school in South India named after Dudley. Here is a monument.

Euston Church

Church of Christ The King, Gordon Square, Bloomsbury, London WC1H 0AG, UK

Church with great bible teaching and very friendly people.

Originally Irving's church now consists of English chapel related to Forward in Faith which is usually open and the main church which is open during service time only. It is good to go and pray at the small but very beautiful church anytime.

Give and get free stuff. Here you will find lots of items that people are willing to give away, for FREE! This is instead of taking them to a local landfill site. The aim of this site is to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill (20.9 million tonnes of it last year in the UK) and recycling is great news for the environment.
We all know that we need to recycle more - and this is a great way of doing it.

An excellent choice if you want to dance the night away listening and interacting with Greek inhabitants of London. The Greek club is downstairs while expect to find Russian oligarchs and generally upper society people on the ground and first floor.

Exclusive classy and like a cat walk. Fantastic bar and parties.

The Ritz Restaurant

150 Piccadilly, St. James's, London W1J 9BR, UK – 020 7300 2370

Smooth, inmaculate and fun. The menu and wine as exquisite, specialty dessert (I confess I am a sugar yunkee) the perfect place for a special occasion with a perfect atmosphere and service. Definitely an amazing experience to share with those you appreciate or love the most. Yes, you must dress elegant -men with tie, suit and dress shoes, ladies must dress elegant- that a part of the experience.

My husband I went here for my birthday and it was amazing. The service was great and the food was simply the best considering im a vegetarian. They cater to your every need and answer every question. One steep item is the champagne at £24 a glass but I guess it was a very good one.

GBR (Great British Restaurant)

37-38 St James's Pl, St. James's, London SW1A 1NS, UK – 020 7491 4840

This is a good concept but is overpriced for the product and service. The product is 'British favourites done well', and they are 'good' but I've had better in local pubs. The service is good when there's few other customers, but flustered and below par when it's busy. Not worth visiting unless you're staying in the Hotel: there are many better places to eat nearby.

Elegant decor, lovely breakfast with a huge choice on offer. I'm sure it would be great for lunch and supper.

Nursery and Preschools

MACE Montessori Nursery School

38-42 Millman St, London WC1N 3EW, UK – 020 7242 5842

Miss Chris-Jayne and her team at the nursery was nothing but professional and welcoming. I felt at ease allowing my son to participate in their classroom activities. The teachers were warm and welcoming, where I found the children interacting and having such a wonderful time. Clearly, a lot of hard work and thought in this bright and colourful nursery is carried out to ensure the best possible environment for our children to be nurtured at such a crucial learning age. I thoroughly recommend to all!

Very happy with my sons progress at the nursery, the teachers have done a great job with him, he is very independent, well behaved and very sociable since he started the nursery. I am very appreciative to the teachers for the progress he has shown. When I pick him up at 6pm I can see he has had a great playful day as when we go home all he wants to do is rest and sleep. Highly recommend it.

Westminster School

Little Dean's Yard, Great Smith St, Westminster, London SW1P 3PF, UK – 020 7963 1000

Got Highest mark in course very very good teachers.

Westminster’s origins can be traced to a charity school established by the Benedictine monks of Westminster Abbey. Its continuous existence is certain from the early fourteenth century. After the dissolution of the monasteries in 1540, Henry VIII personally ensured the School’s survival by statute. Elizabeth I, confirmed royal patronage in 1560 and is celebrated as the School’s Foundress. For several hundred years the School continued to be joined with Westminster Abbey, forming one collegiate foundation, until the 1868 Public Schools Act gave the School independence. Then, in 1943, the School expanded its educational scope by forming the Under School, educating boys aged 7-11. Initially both sections of the School shared a site, as the Under School began with just 17 boys. However, we experienced fairly rapid growth and by 1950 were educating 80 boys. So, in 1951, we secured our own premises in Eccleston Square. Yet as pupil numbers continued to increase during the sixties and seventies it became apparent that larger premises were required and in 1981 the Under School moved again to its present site overlooking the Westminster playing fields in Vincent Square.
